Brand new aftermarket replacement power supply for the SNK Neo Geo AES Home Console. The Neo Geo AES is one of the most extraordinary consoles ever made — and one of the most valuable. Trusting your investment to an ageing original power supply is a risk not worth taking.

Our modern replacement runs directly from Australian 240V mains power with no step-down converter required, and handles voltage conversion internally — so Japanese, US, and PAL AES consoles all work straight out of the box.

⚠ Important — Check Your Console Before Ordering

The Neo Geo AES went through several hardware revisions and you cannot rely on the bottom label alone to determine which power supply your console requires. SNK retrofitted many consoles with an internal voltage regulator (LM2576) that changes the power requirement from 5V to 9V — and board swaps over the years mean the shell label may not match the motherboard inside.

The only reliable way to confirm your voltage requirement is to open the console and inspect the motherboard:

• If you can see an 5-pin LM2576 regulator and a copper wire coil — either directly on the board or on a daughterboard — your console requires 9V DC.
• If you can see a green 3-pin NEC power transistor— either directly on the board or on a daughterboard —your console requires 5V DC.
