NOTE: The GameCube was released in two models, DOL-001 and DOL-101. Look at the sticker underneath your console to see which one you have. We recommend getting a DOL-100 for any mods as it's a better console.

DOL-001 vs DOL-101, which one is better?

DOL-001 has the digital AV Output (an extra rear digital socket) and Serial Port 2 (SP2). So with this original console you can use the digital output port with HDMI adapters and you can also use the SP2 port underneath your console for adding an SD card.

DOL-101 has all of those options removed, so you can't use HDMI adapters and you don't have use of the SP2 port. You can however use a memory card adapter to access an SD card for PicoBoot, etc

You will need to purchase an adapter and SD card separately.

 GameCube Console Model Adapter needed
DOL-001 SD2SP2 or GC2SD
DOL-101 GC2SD only
