Puzzle Bobble 2X expands from the original Puzzle Bobble, by adding a tournament style variation on the two player game. Players can either verse computer or verse a daring friend. Some of the contestants in the new tournament mode are based on characters from Bubble Bobble, including variations on a Monsta and a Mighta.

GAMERS NOTE: Saturn consoles are region locked. This means that you would need a PAL console to play PAL games, or an NTSC (Japan or US) console to play NTSC games! Though this is the standard case, it is possible to play them on other region consoles such as PAL and USA with the optional Pseudo Saturn boot cartridge. This will unlock the region protection and allow the game to boot. Generally Japanese games will play perfectly on a USA console, but may have some slight issues when forced to play on a PAL console. These issues include a slowing of game speed, slight distortion of image/ sound. Some Japanese/ USA games will work totally fine on a PAL console, but its always good to note that these issues may occur. It's always best to play games on their designated region consoles.
