• Phillips Head Screwdriver Number 2 size
• Electronic Arts carts typically use GameBit 4.5mm screws
• Soldering iron (We recommend the TS101)
• Desolder pump or braid
• Leaded solder 60/40
• A steady hand and some time

How to replace the battery in SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis carts?

• Open it up with a Phillips Head Screwdriver or Gamebit drive 4.5mm. Some factory SEGA carts use GameBit and others use Phillips, so just check yours and buy the right tools before you begin.
• Desolder the original battery
• Solder in the new CR2032 with tabs
