This is a very common cause of booting issues, so go ahead and thow a few games in the box and we'll clean and test them on your console. If you want to clean your own games, we recommend spraying the game cart pins with ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and rubbing the pins with cotton buds. You should see all the tarnish come off as a dark colour on the cotton buds.
