In 1994, PlayStation released a genuine Sony mouse compatible with the Original PlayStation (PS1). The user could connect the mouse to the designated controller port and have ease of use with any compatible game.
This simple two-button mouse was originally used in point and click games, strategy games, simulation games and strategy novels. Once shooter games were released, the mouse had an advantageous benefit of simplicity in gameplay usage.
